Discord has confirmed that it is back online after experiencing an outage this morning, which coincided with a massive Meta outage affecting Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. The outage also affected YouTube, which reported issues with its service.
The Incident
According to Discord’s status page, the incident was resolved after reviewing the rate limiting that triggered initial session start issues and scaling targets for internal services that limited guild loading during recovery.
Discord’s Response
In a statement, Discord confirmed that it is monitoring the recovery of multiple systems. The company said that it is reviewing the updated rate limiting to prevent similar incidents in the future.
